Embed opportunities on your site
The Kanu Hawaii widget puts a live feed of published volunteer opportunities on any website with a single script tag. Visitors browse, search, filter, and sign up without leaving your page and without making an account.
It is plain JavaScript with no dependencies and no iframe. It renders into your page, so it inherits your fonts and sits inside your layout rather than looking like something bolted on.
What it is good for
- A nonprofit’s own site, showing its own opportunities so supporters do not have to be sent somewhere else to find them.
- An employer or a school, showing a filtered feed: one island, one cause, or one campaign, as the volunteering page of an intranet.
- A visitor-facing site, showing only Mālama Hawaiʻi certified organizations.
What you can filter it to
The feed can be narrowed before it ever reaches the page, by island, cause, activity type, good-for tag, or a specific campaign. You can also let visitors filter it themselves: island tabs, a date range, a search box, and dropdowns are all optional and all off by default, so you decide how much control your page hands over.
What it costs
Nothing. The widget is served from needs.kanuhawaii.org, and it reads the same public data as the
website.
