The organization dashboard
Everything an organization does here happens on one page:
needs.kanuhawaii.org/orgs/<your-id>/dashboard. My Organization in the header takes
you there, and My Organizations opens a menu instead if you belong to more than one.
The tab you are on is written into the address, so a link to
?tab=reports opens on Reports.
The tabs
| Tab | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Profile | Who you are, as volunteers see it. Edit Profile opens the full form. See register your organization. |
| Members | Colleagues who can work on this organization, and invitations you have sent. See invite your team. |
| Needs | Every opportunity you have, in any status, with the count of who signed up for each. See post a volunteer need. |
| Volunteers | Everyone who signed up, across all your opportunities, and where you mark who turned up. See attendance and hours. |
| Approvals | Hours volunteers logged themselves, waiting for you. The tab carries a count when something is waiting. |
| Campaigns | Campaigns you have joined and campaigns you could join. See join a campaign. |
| Mālama | Your Mālama Hawaiʻi certification, and the application. See get certified. |
| Reports | The numbers, over a date range you choose, and the exports. See reports. |
| History | A record of changes to the organization record. |
What each role sees
| Tab | Owner | Editor | Viewer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Profile | Yes, and can edit | Yes | Yes |
| Needs | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Reports | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Volunteers | Yes | Yes | No |
| Approvals | Yes | Yes | No |
| Campaigns | Yes | Yes | No |
| Mālama | Yes | Yes | No |
| Members | Yes | No | No |
| History | Yes | No | No |
Hiding a tab is not what protects the data behind it. The database enforces the same boundary, so a viewer who reaches the volunteer roster another way still gets nothing back. That is what makes the viewer role a real answer to “can this person see volunteer contact details”.
Before your organization is approved
A banner across the top says which state you are in. Until Kanu Hawaii approves the organization, nothing you publish is public. You can still fill in the profile, write opportunities, and invite colleagues, and everything published goes live the moment the approval lands.
