Organizations across the islands post what they need help with. You search, you sign up, you turn up. That is the whole product.

You do not need an account to sign up

Most opportunities take a guest signup: your name, your email, and how many people you are bringing. That is enough for an organizer to expect you.

An account is worth having anyway, because it keeps things a guest signup cannot:

• Your hours, including a running total you can show a school or an employer
• The opportunities you saved to think about
• What you signed up for, in one list, with the details of each
• What you are interested in, so what we send you is closer to what you would have chosen

Create an account , or carry on as a guest and make one later.

The three things to read

1. Find an opportunity. Searching, filtering, and what the listings are telling you.
2. Sign up. What the signup form asks, bringing other people, and waivers.
3. Your hours and profile. How hours get counted, and what to do when they are wrong.

A note on who you are dealing with

Organizations are reviewed by Kanu Hawaii before they appear, and their listings say who to contact. Contact details on an opportunity are the organizer’s, and the organizer is who to ask about what to wear, where to park, and whether it is still on if it rains.
